Oh What Fun It Is .......

Lexie and Josie finishing off their masterpieces.
Culinary Arts 1 - Fall of 2014 has been busy in the kitchens. So many new experiences and such excitement amongst the class as new techniques and dishes are presented to my culinary students. Due to an early catering job this semester, our schedule has been a little out of the usual order - so menu planning, price costing and cooking methods has all become one unit. It has worked however, keeping students on their toes as to what is coming next!!

This week, the class will be making a treat of Caramel Apple Muffins, Blueberry Vanilla with a Lemon Glaze Muffins, Pumpkin with a Cream Cheese Drizzle Muffins and Lemon Poppyseed Muffins. These muffins will be served at the ReVision meeting being held with the community this Wednesday. What a great way for the students to market their program to the community and make a little spare change with this catering job as well!! After we finish this catering job - we are back into menu planning and menu analysis!

Here are a few shots of some experiences in the Chadron High Culinary Lab so far -
